8:30am, it is 42 degrees. What happened to spring? I thought we were heading south. It actually snowed a couple times briefly.
Today is a long day of driving. It is cloudy, rainy and cold. We had some great BBQ in Joplin, MO.
The sun actually came out somewhere in Oklahoma this evening and it got up to 67 degrees. It feels amazing even though we are cooped up in the QX.
We decided to lay our hats in a Canyon, TX Walmart parking lot tonight. Yup I just said that. Its free, even though we accidentally used up an entire tank of LP gas while parked there, so in hindsight, it'd have been more cost effective to stay at a real campground with hookups. And we awoke to 37 degrees. Like I said...what happened to spring? Good thing I brought my fleece pants.

Total $ in gas for only 2 days of travel: $587 holy SH$&!

ReplyDeleteWow you guys are making progress! Nothing says fun like spending the night in the parking lot of a Walmart. When I google "Canyon, TX Walmart" I can see exactly where you are. In the satellite view it even shows your rig! (just kidding) . Love seeing your blog, it is now on my list of sites to check every day. Happy trails
