Sept 1-30 End of Summer in Columbus

Sept 1-30, 2015

September in Columbus this year was pretty warm, sunny and pleasant. We hung out with family, neighbors and Elena and I made a trip to Detroit.

Elena and Elliott. Hayhurst Street buddies.

One of Elena's favorite activities-removing our magazine pile from the table to the floor. In her mind, everything should be tossed to the floor.

Enjoying one of the last pool days of the season at Worthington outdoor pool.

Today we met Kevin, Lindsay and Everly for a hike at Wahkeena Nature Preserve south of Columbus.

This arrangement lasted for about 5 minutes.

Beautiful butterfly.

Eek! Ryan is holding a snake in the visitor center!

Post hike stop at Rockmill Brewery.

It was a hot one today! After our outdoor picnic, we moved inside to enjoy some air conditioning with our brews.

Nothing but classy! Elena saying her daily hello to one of her favorite neighbor dogs-Maggie.

I can hardly believe my eyes!

Elena "practicing" brushing her teeth.

Happy girl.

Sister-cousin reading session in Troy.

Rosalie and Elena. Cousins, just 3 months apart in age.

A little time with Grandpa.

Meeting my buddy Derek and Sommer's twin girls, Emma and Adeline.

Eight months going on 16 years?

Sunny afternoon in our front yard.

This girls loves to "drive."

Neighborhood walk.

New skill! Flushing the toilet.

Highbanks hike. She lasted about 10 minutes this time.

A curious phenomena found in various areas of central Ohio. Its called a concretion.

Her favorite part of the hike. Being out of the pack while trying to eat pebbles and playing in the stream.

Caterpillar along our hike.

The most fun part of shopping...detours playing with the merchandise.

Awesome bath hair.

Another nice afternoon.

Family neighborhood walk.

Farmer's Market music fun.

"Helping" me pick tomatoes. Unfortunately this munchkin got her first laceration just above her right eyebrow today. We glued it.

Look mom, I can walk behind my learning walker!
