On my way to Detroit I was persuaded by the beautiful blue skies to get out of the car and explore Lake Erie Metropark, which I had never visited before.

Beautiful path over the wetlands, I saw several blue heron, ducks and an egret.

I made it to Troy in time to take a little trip to the park with Ceci and Leah.

Today Lila and I took a hike along the Clinton River banks.
Going off trail is much more fun.

Patience paid off and we are enjoying some "sugary-tastic" warm donuts and cider.
