Apr 11-17 Door County in April

April 11-17, 2016

We took a spring trek up to Wisconsin to visit Ryan's grandfather, spend some time at our lake house and ready it for renting season.

So far so good in her new seat! (This happy face didn't last long)

We made an impromptu visit to Tina and Jon's new place in Fort Wayne, IN and also got to see Aunt Della and Uncle Don who had just arrived for the night on their way home from Florida. Thanks to Tina and Jon for hosting an extra three for dinner on really short notice :)

The path to Bapa's beach is a lot shorter this spring. The water level is higher than it has been and high surf over the winter washed away about 15 feet or so of dune grass.

 My little helper.

Ahhh. This view.

Its cold, but at least the sun is out.

A wild turkey visitor.

Elena got into the coffee.

Sunrise. Elena is getting up very early this week!

Sunny morning run.

She is not into keeping her shades on lately.

Enjoying the sunny day.

Daddy-daughter.

Mommy-daughter.

Up to her old tricks again...

Oh brother!

Taking a swim in the tub.

Trying out a little chair in the family changing room at the local YMCA. We went for a swim this morning while Daddy was at work.

Love.

A deer visitor.

Another lovely sunrise.

We walked down to check out Shivering Sands creek.

Shivering Sands trail hike.

Enjoying our family hike.

Sunrise.

On our last evening we drove out to Little Sturgeon Bay to the Sunset Grille for a dinner with a view. Great suggestion, Kirsten!

Our last evening at the lake!

Moonrise-sunset.

Sunrise on our last morning.

As always, I will miss this view! Its a beautiful, calm morning to say goodbye. See you in July!

From the country to the city. We went to Chicago to spend a little time with our best buddy, Raj.

Sunset from the 28th floor.

Sunrise over Lake Michigan (a little further south this time).

Lunch and beverages on our way to see the Cubbies.

Elena's first visit to Wrigley Field. I think she watched about 30 seconds of baseball ;)
