It was a slow start to the day in order to recover from the night before. Last night we were invited to dinner at Martin's, one of the docs Ryan works with who we continue to run into all over this little island. He is from the UK. Also at dinner were two family practice docs from Paris(one that works on this island), and a German accupuncturist. It was a clash of cultures. It was more interesting and more alcohol was consumed than we had anticipated.
I took Ryan to Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay beaches. There was a storm threatening, but it never arrived.
Goodbye beautiful beaches :(
On the way back home we stopped at Las Brisas for smoothies. Ryan got his strawberry kiwi today and I enjoyed another strawberry pineapple one. Mmmm, so good!
Happy Hour at Somewhere... It just reopened this evening after being closed for two weeks. Glad we got to try it out. I love their take on ceviche.
On the deck of Somewhere... is a great place to watch the sunset.
Thanks for reopening on our last night. Afterward we made our way to Tiki Hut for chicken and ribs night and ended up meeting our Parisian friends again.
On our last morning, we awoke to a rainbow. After a quick dip in Grace Bay beach, packing, lunch at Mr. Grouper, a stop at the hospital to say goodbye, and we are off the airport.
What a lovely and gorgeous island full of kind, hospitable and friendly people (belongers and ex-pats). We hope to return one day, but for now goodbye Turks and Caicos.
