Oct 11-15 Raj and Sonia's Wedding

Oct 11-15, 2017

Elena stayed in Detroit with my parents for the weekend while Ryan and I traveled to Chicago for our dear friends, Rajeev and Sonia's wedding weekend. Thanks Mom and Dad!

This is what Elena thinks of us taking off for the weekend?!?

The Mendhi party at Sonia's parents' house.

My first time getting henna.

Sonia's is so impressive! It covers both sides of her hands and forearms...

and the top of her feet.

The happy couple.

Raj got Sonia's name on his hand. Raj's name is hidden somewhere in Sonia's henna.

Relaxing before my mani-pedi appointment.

Friday night dinner at Carnevale.

Tomorrow is the big day!

These old college buddies are having a blast.

Getting ready for wedding ceremony.

The Baraat took place indoors due to rain, but we still had fun dancing around, even without Raj on a horse parading down the street.

The wedding ceremony.

Here comes Sonia, she looks so beautiful!

These two!

Ryan gave a wonderful best man speech <3

This crew was so much fun!

Getting a little silly.

I found this dress at an India festival in Columbus. It was a blast to swing around and dance in, but really hot.

These guys :)

Anjaly and Ameet.

Anita and I.

What an super weekend catching up with old friends. Congrats to Raj and Sonia and thank you Mom and Dad!

Sept 2 - Oct 8, 2017

I lead my first Seeds of Caring event. These munchkins helped prepare 175 sack lunches for a local homeless shelter.

Sending a virtual hug to Daddy at work this evening.

Creeking at Highbanks.

And of course she ends up naked ;)

Autumn color change is just beginning.

Elena is in Flounder swim class, her first swim class we didn't have to get in with her. She loved Miss Felicia.

Love my dahlia bud vases.

Metamorphosis in our own backyard. I was so excited we were home to witness the monarch emerge!

Goodbye baby room...

Hello big girl room!

We did a lot of Ikea shopping and putting together!

One of the last really warm days Elena and I checked out the Hilliard splash pad.

We decided to drive south one beautiful afternoon and brought our kayaks to Lake Logan.

Elena loved kayaking!

Silly Ryan.

Elena decided to empty her drawers "for my friends that are coming over for my birthday party."

Enjoying a fall Saturday morning at the Farmers Market listening to the folk music society.

Painting date with Grandma Carol.

Elena like to bust in and wake up Grandma.

Police and Fire Station open house.

My first mammogram! All was well.

Cozy coupe needs a wash.
