Aug 15-17 Lanfears Visit Ohio

Aug 15-17, 2013

Originally, the Parak family had a long weekend planned camping up in western Michigan, but for several reasons, it got canceled. Leah, Zac and Cecilia decided to come visit Ryan and I in Ohio!

Ceci's second boat ride. She liked it, but she did not like having a lifejacket on!

Zac getting a little tube ride.

Ceci kept pointing toward the other swing for someone to join her swinging fun.

She has no fear when it comes to riding slides!

Ceci got a sink bath this evening.

More water fun today in our front yard.

Puddles can be even more fun than sprinklers.

Ceci loves this little nook in our landscaping. It's just the right size to sit down for a rest :)

Leah and Ceci sharing a wagon ride.

Next we played at the Worthington Pools splash park. These little chairs are as entertaining as the water park.

Who needs a bathing suit?

Thank you Leah, Zac and Ceci for making the trip to Ohio. It was so much fun to have you! Good times at home :)

Aug 11 Celebrating Grama C

August 11, 2013

Since Ryan's Grama C was still recovering from her heart attack several weeks ago in a nursing home, she did not feel up to making it to the wedding, so we decided to go visit her in Mansfield, Ohio. Ryan's Uncle Rick set up a luncheon for the whole extended Cantzler family to honor Grama C.

Grama C getting to know her newest great-grandchild, Cora.

Mady teaching her sister Carmen a little piano.

Sean's family making funny faces with Grama.

Cora finding her sweet spot on Carol's shoulder.

After everyone else went home, Ryan and I had one more evening with Chris, Julia, Isla and Cora before they fly back out to San Diego Monday morning. Isla has the most diverse palate of any 4 year old I know! Here she is devouring salmon sashimi.

We are so thankful for the time spent with family this weekend. I am so glad we all made it up to see Grama C. She passed away just 3 days later, on August 14. She had 92 wonderful years and created this family I love so much. Rest in peace Margaret (Peg) Cantzler, we love you!

Aug 9-10 Kevin and Lindsay's Wedding

August 9-10, 2013

Today is Ryan's brother, Kevin and Lindsay's wedding. After about 6 years together, they are tying the knot! They decided on a small family wedding today and they invited friends and family for a day out at Indian Lake tomorrow.

We took an old school bus from the Embassy Suites to the wedding venue downtown. Mady, Isla and Carmen are sharing a seat, since they do everything together :)

Historic Kelton House in downtown Columbus was part of the underground railroad system.

Kelton House's beautiful garden out back where the wedding is about to take place.

Sisters, Beth and Carol.

Lindsay looks beautiful as her dad, Roger escorts her through the garden.

Yay! Best wishes to Kevin and Lindsay for a long, happy life together as a married couple.

Cheers!

Cantzler boys, Sean, Ryan, Kevin and Chris with the newest Cantzler girl :)

Happy couple, Ken and Carol.

Sean breakin' it down with the girls.

Chris and Ryan showing off little Cora, not so little anymore :)

Beth and Dennis made the trip from Steven's Point, Wisconsin. It was so great to have them here!

Ryan and I enjoying the pleasant evening.

Lindsay gettin' down with one of her nephews.

Lindsay's brother, Ryan dipping his daughter, Tara.

Thanks for such a lovely weekend Kevin and Lindsay! Have fun in Jamaica!

Aug 7-9 Pre-Wedding Cantzler Family Fun

August 7-9, 2013

The week of Kevin and Lindsay's wedding, Cantzler families began arriving to our place for a week of family fun. First to arrive were Chris, Julia, Isla and Cora. Next was Ryan's parents with Mady and Brayden, then the rest of Sean's family and Aunt Beth and Uncle Dennis.

Yay! I got to reunite with my silly San Diego buddy, Isla!

Without any attention from me, my Gladiolus are the most beautiful this year so far.

Mady is ready to go tubing. Brayden, Mady, Ryan, Kevin, their dad Ken and myself went boating on Wednesday. Weekdays on Alum Creek are calm with minimal boat traffic.

I don't think there is a day without Gangnam style in the world according to Brayden!

Brayden all serious when he is driving the boat.

Mady nursing her bloody nose after a minor tubing mishap :(

Yay! Its been since New Years when I got to hang out with my Mady the last time.

Ken showing off his adventurous side!

Ryan and I, what a fun day on the water.

Brother and sister silly.

Titanic throwback.

Pedicures for the girls friday morning, thanks Kevin!

Ryan's mom, Carol with her new 'do. Gorgeous! Time to get ready for the wedding...

Aug 4-6 Detroit Visit

Aug 4-6, 2013

I headed up to Detroit for a couple days to catch up with old friends and visit with my family again. It was a quick, but fun trip. I packed in visits with my Wayne State nursing and Detroit Receiving buddies, my sister Leah and her family, my sister-in-law Megan and her kiddos, my parents and my two girlfriends, Melissa and Angela.

My friends Todd and Lori's sweet new pool. Thanks for hosting all of us for an afternoon of swimming fun!

Love these shade sails.

The girls; Kim, Kristina, Sommer, me, Lori and Tracey. Kristina just found out she is pregnant...with triplets! Congrats to you mama :)

My WSU nursing buddy, Ed and his sweet daughter Alison.

John's beautiful wife, Heather and their youngest daughter, Mia.

Another couple of my WSU nursing buddies Derek and Todd. I caught Derek mid air attempting to land on the inner tube...think he made it? He is forever a kid at heart :)

My sister Leah took Monday off work and we hung out with her daughter, Cecilia. I'm not sure bubble juice tastes too good, but its worth a try when you are 18 months old...
Ceci is all smiles when her mama swishes her around.

My mom and I watched Megan and Travis's kiddos Tuesday morning for a couple hours. Austin looks pretty serious in this pic, but he is usually all smiles :)

Lila and Austin swinging at the "dinosaur park" while Nolan is collecting pine cones. Thanks for a great visit, thanks Leah and my parents for hosting me, and for all the fresh garden veggies mom!
